Londres 38 was a center of repression, torture and extermination of the civic-military dictatorship headed by Augusto Pinochet. After years of denunciation actions, today it is a site of memories recovered and open to the community and social organizations.
It is located in the city of Santiago, in the Paris-Londres heritage district, near the civic center.(http://www.londres38.cl/1937/w3-channel.html)

Thematic axes of the ethnographic exhibition Cabezas & Artifacts.
The sample has 4 thematic axes that are:
Control / Repression
Carried out by all the actions of the agencies and agents / officials of the State, in particular that carried out by the Carabineros de Chile, based on the control of public order, control and the dichotomy with repression in the context of the manifestations that are binding on the Outbreak / Social Revolt around to the axis to the Plaza Baquedano / Italia / Dignidad in Santiago de Chile with all the variant of actions such as: Verbalization, containment, deterrence, clearance, dispersal, detention, aggression, reaction, immobilization, use of non-lethal weapons, use of lethal weapons , compliance / non-compliance with protocols, excessive use of force, complaints of mistreatment, threats, reflection and good practices among other actions.
Fight / Resistance
On the part of the protesters, it can be expressed in two actions represented in acts of defense and rebellion. Defenses and containment in the advance of armored cars and foot force of Carabineros de Chile made the demonstration that was concentrated in the axis of the roundabout of Plaza Italia / Dignidad with the construction of barricades and the block called the first line with the protesters defined in roles such as: Squires, antigas or extinguishers, pointers, hydrators or sprinklers. So also in actions of advance and “counterattack” with the “peñasqueros”, slingers, miners or “pirquineros” among others.
Human and non-human entities
People / Animals / Trees / Puppets, since they coexist in the territory and in the context of the Outbreak / Revolt / Social and present so much variability, types, links, connections, permanence and intermittences that give value, life and qualitative stories to the shows, it is a part of Chile and many Chiles.
Artifacts
That by themselves they do not make sense, but binding to the context of the protests they give meaning, the fundamental idea is to give value and resignify those objects and vestiges in a context of protest and mobilization (in three stages: before, during and after). Various artifacts that people leave behind, lose on the way, that remained as mute witnesses of what is happening in the demonstrations on the Outbreak / Social Revolt. Rubble, objects and materiality manufactured and incidentally built to perform a specific function and that have symbolic value.
